What is coworking (and what it is not)

You buy access to a building set up for work: desks, chairs, connectivity, meeting rooms and commons. You can come for a day, buy a multi-day pack or pay monthly. Flexibility is the main difference from a traditional office lease.

At Cowtainers, coworking lives in Bosque de la Zoreda (Ribera de Arriba), minutes from Oviedo. It is rural coworking: shared services with nature, free parking and less noise than a city-centre space.

Companies also use coworking as a second base: a monthly team day, training in a meeting room or retreats. You do not pay fit-out, furniture or utilities separately.

In a shared office you work in an open room with others: lower cost and more networking. A private office is an enclosed room for you or your team: more privacy and a higher price.

High-speed wifi, cleaning, building access (24/7 here), commons and, depending on the plan, meeting-room hours. It usually excludes accounting, unlimited stationery or secretarial services — though you can book rooms or events separately.
